Richmond Championship Show 2010
Temperaments generally good. Most hounds were in great condition and full of life. I think there is plenty to look forward to in the future, in our wonderful breed, with wise breeding programmes.
All my major winners are exceptional quality Hounds in first rate condition presented beautifully. All the first’s are a credit to their owners. Yearling dog/bitch, contained some exceptionally promising hounds for our future. Limit Dog was quality throughout. Open bitch an array of beauty with not enough cards to go round.
BOB/DCC: Ch/Chil Ch Rashid Ebn Hugo Von Haussman at Myhalston. He has the power and agility that his ancestors in Afghanistan would need to have possessed. Manly yet attractive head with deep under jaw, good expression. Generally very masculine but not too large. Grand animal to go over and commanding on the move, very true on going away. Serious stuff was over he showed his remarkable temperament with an a leap into the air of sheer joy.
RCC Gezancol Enrique JW. Imposing, powerful and strong. Beautiful head to match balanced well made frame, neck, shoulder, front great, good angles, well coated with correct saddle, excellent condition and showing correct prominent hip bones, ring tail. A picture standing and lovely on the move.
BCC: Fr/Lux/Int Ch Capucine du Menuel Galopin. Exquisite black as feminine as Dog CC is masculine. She shone. Very pleasing to go over from every aspect. Balanced & true throughout. Excels on the move as does Dog CC. In fact they are very alike. Great rapport with her breeder/ handler. Fought off fabulous yearling bitch to win the CC. RCC Saxonmill Midnight Muse JW. Really captured my attention, great depth of quality, long lean balanced head with small eye and aloof expression, long neck, well laid shoulders, strong true front, deep chested body, well sprung ribs, short well muscled loin, ring tail. Well angulated quarters, super outline and just beautiful on the move.
BVIB Ch Amudarya Shekinah at Terstine. Truly worthy Champion of excellent type, great favourite of mine, beautiful classic head, lovely neck and shoulder, deep chest, good top line, strong loin, correct croup to sweeping quarters, ring tail. In great condition, moved with grace.
BPIB Istani Cinderela Rockafela. Outstanding. Beautiful refined head with correct eye shape, even has chiselling to foreface at this young age. Lovely shape. Strode out very well, holding shape on the move.
Thanks to stewards Peter Baxter and David Caulfield, also my son Joe for taking the excellent photographic record.
