Bondor since the millenium has seen a shift in emphasis from Afghan's into other breeds, particularly Whippets and Bulldogs.
The Afghans though were of course still being campaigned and still winning, despite the changing fashion seen from ringside
and the growing number of imported exhibits. Wendy Shipmans BONDOR THE JOKER made the first significant impact in the ring taking
a RCC in 2000 and CC in 2001, the latter coming under Wendy Bastow who herself had seen much success with
Ch BONDOR HOT GOSSIP many years earlier.

As well as the "Joker", Ronnie Davies saw further success with BONDOR THE ENTERTAINER TO AVAPAL, who won a RCC in 2003.
The Entertainer was litter brother to the Joker, and both were from a second litter from "Ella" born in 1999.
This second litter had been sired by Terry & Shirley Carr's homebred Ch BOZWOODS JUST WILLIAM,
and linked back into the "Charmer" line. In Afghan terms, this has been the last Bondor litter, but was by no means the least.

The litter also contained the sisters BONDOR PERCHANCE TO DREAM WITH NORMARAND, owned by Marj Barber & Barbara Henry,
whilst Wendy & Geoff Bastow took BONDOR I PUT A SPELL ON KARANDIKAR. Both sisters did well at shows and went BB and RBB
at the NEAHS Open Show in July 2001 under Liz McKnight.

Another litter sister was taken by Terry & Shirley Carr. BONDOR FRENCH KISS TO BOZWOOD,
a beautiful red, would win the CC at Windsor in 2003.

Jackie & Alan Buttle took a red dog from the litter. "Cazper" won well throughout his career and eventually became the 17th UK Champion
for the Bondor kennel. Ch BONDOR TWELTH NIGHT took his crowning CC on "home" ground at the Western Afghan Champ Show in 2005
under Ronnie Davies. The Bondor's had come a long way from the days of Serenade and Lezah, but the image and quality was still
present in Allan's breeding. BONDOR BACK WITH AVENGEANCE ShCM won the RCC at Border Union in 2004.

Breeding on from the Bondor line continued as three kennels chose to use BONDOR BACK WITH AVENGEANCE in 2005.
Litters duly appeared at Birkhall in Scotland, where Ch B SOME LIKE IT HOT had resided, Damosil in the North East,
and at Bichoux with Julie Noble mating Solomon to her red bitch BICHOUX ETERNAL DREAM.
The litter produced the last Afghan at Bondor (for now) when Stuart and Allan obatined "Sassy" or BICHOUX BEDAZZLED BY BONDOR.

The Bichoux litter made their first public appearance at the Yorkshire Afghan Hound Society Championship Show, which provided an
ideal opportunity to socialise the puppies, and also take advantage of the exquisite surroundings with an eye toward Yearbook photographs.
Two memorable photos stood out on the day, the first was one of the dog Julie Noble retained for herself, BICHOUX BACK TO MY ROOTS.

The picture of Rio was included in the Afghan Yearbook, and when she saw it, Daphne Gie was so taken with it that she decided to
paint the photograph as a portrait, which was then sold to raise money for charity.

The second memorable image of the day was of Rio's father Solomon, BONDOR BACK WITH AVENGEANCE ShCM,pictured with son from the Bchoux litter, Seven.
Solomon went on to enjoy great success in the Veteran classes, and was the Afghan Hound Association Veteran of the year for 2007, another first for Bondor.

The Bondor story finished on the 22nd December 2011 when Allan died following a long but bravely fought illness, but with his passing the legacy of what he created over many years was truly born,
and the memories of him and of the fabulous Bondor Afghans will remain on for many years to come. His contribution to the breed both at home and abroad is still felt today. His name lives on, as does his beloved Afghan Hound.
